Remember the streets are filthy

remember the streets are filthy
not dirty like a dirty girl can get
but soiled
like spit and curdled urine soaked
pants sat there and cried

don't sit there

remember you are dirty
like an uprooted
plant is dirty when the
ground gives birth to
fruit,like any apple that falls
from the tree and sits there
sun-soaked sharp and sweet

not spoiled

this is where you sit if
you are a dirty girl too

i will be there
unfilthy,sharp,sweet
dried tears and cackling
making rivulets,
clear tracks,
and mud
all down
my
self-cleaning
root system

making space.
